Smashing records on Day Three of Imana Wild Ride

It was down to business on day three of Imana Wild Ride as Warren Price and Andrew Hill (Safire TIB) went out to show who’s in charge of this race. Setting a cracking pace along the early beaches, the duo managed to shake off a determined effort from chasers Damon Stamp and Darren Lill (Wild Ride Supa Soyas). The pace was relentless as Price and Hill pushed on over the testing hills though to Coffee Bay in a new record time of two hours, thirteen minutes and 13sec – three minutes faster than the record set last year. Stamp and Lill put in their best effort to take second place some six minutes back.

The mixed race was once again a battle between two teams with Bianca Haw and Andrew Houston asserting their dominance to finish the stage in third place overall and extend their lead ahead of Craig and Cristine Woods.

The final stage is the longest, covering some sixty kilometres along rugged coastline to finish at the award winning resort of Umngazi River Bungalows.
